According to World Health Organization, due to air pollution, 7 million people die every year.
The major problem facing is developing countries like India because of certain reasons.
Some jobs are really susceptible to respiratory illness like dock workers, driving and mostly those who are constantly exposed to the worse atmosphere.
Air Pollution gives Illness? How?
We have 2 types of air pollutant -
1. Gases
2. Tiny Solid particles.
When we breathe in polluted air, the pollutant penetrates and burn the lining of our bronchial tubes and lungs, where they get absorbed into the bloodstream and then circulate to all over the body.
Ways to Protect Yourself
Below are the ways to protect yourself from polluted air. Add these things to your lifestyle.
Mask: Make sure N95 Mask
Air mask is the respiratory protected device use to filter out air pollutants.
The first N95 mask is highly tested and it blocks at least 95% of very small particles.
Super Food
A diet rich in antioxidants, vitamin C, vitamin E and omega3.
Below are some foods that you could add to your diet.
1. Olive Oil and Flaxseed
High in omega 3 fatty acid. Olive oil improves lungs function because it contains Vitamin E, helps in reducing inflammation.
The best way to have Olive oil is to have it through the salad, you will get the best nutrient because as exposed to heat while cooking could change its chemical properties and lost its nutrition value.
