Different kinds of protein and the information important to choose one that you need to have

Protein!!!
Always trending word in the fitness world.
Protein is the building block of your body tissues and one of the essential nutrients for our body.

Actually, protein is a polymer chain that is made up of amino acids with a peptide bond.
We should know that there are 9 amino acids that are essential to have in a proper amount in order to prevent protein deficiency.

In this article, I am talking about protein supplement that can easily fulfil our needs that we are not able to complete with our diet. Sometimes we get protein supplement that supplies protein requirement on time and we get the optimum result.
As we know that we have a lot of options in the market (I am not talking about different companies) but different kinds of protein supplements.

So let's talk about these.

Whey Concentrate

Whey Concentrate is the simple form of protein have all essentials and also some non-essentials amino acids.
Whey concentrate is 75 to 80% protein, that simply means you get 80% out of the total weight of your whey protein.
For example in 100 grams, you would get 80 grams of protein, around 10 grams of carbs and 5 grams of fat and a very very little amount of cholesterol.
You can have it in both pre and post workout and even in snacks time. It is not recommended to have it at night.

If you are searching for an economic and nice protein supplement, go for whey concentrate. This is the best selling protein supplement in the market.
Some people feel the problem of digestion with whey concentrate and feel some gassy and bloated.

Whey Isolate

Whey isolate is a more pure form of protein than whey concentrate.
Whey isolate is around 90 to 95% of protein, means you get 90% out of the total weight of your protein supplement.
For example in 100 grams, you get 90 grams of protein and a very less amount of other macros(carbs and fat). This is best for those who are going to have low carbs diet as it very low carbs and sugar.

Great pre and post workout drink. It gets absorbed quickly and provides the essential nutrient to the body.
This is more expensive than whey isolate but not than the next one.

Hydrolysate Protein

Hydrolysate proteins have been broken down with acid, alkali, heat or enzymes. It breaks the bonds between amino acids. It provides the nutrient equivalent to the original protein but enhances the absorbability of the protein.
It tastes some bitter, but absorb faster although isolate or concentrate is already absorbed fast. Hydrolysate protein costs much higher than concentrate.
Benefit doesn't match with the cost because it could make your wallet lighter.

Casein Protein

Milk has casein and whey protein. So the major difference between them is "Whey Protein" is fast digesting and "Casein Protein" is slow digesting protein.

If you are looking for a protein that digests very slowly over the period of 5 to 7 hours, casein protein is the best option for you.

If you have it before bed then it will provide amino acids to your body throughout the time you sleep and your body would be in the anabolic state(muscle building), even when you go to the gym at morning. It also contains a high amount of Glutamine,  glutamine helps in fast recovery and strengthen your immune system.
Some people also have it during the day and get the benefit to stay full and get the continuous supply of nutrient over the course of several hours.
Recommended time is to have at night (bed time before sleep).

So you have a lot of options of protein supplements in the market. If you are a beginner and thinking to buy a protein supplement, just go for Whey concentrate and see the results. If you are lactose intolerant then go with whey isolate. Keep in mind only protein supplement will not give the physique that you want. You need to have a great overall diet in your whole day and every day.

Stay Healthy, Stay Blessed.
